F.A.QsDifference between organic and conventional cotton? There is a common misconception that conventional cotton is a natural fibre and therefore is good for the environment. In fact conventionally grown cotton uses the most pesticides and fertilisers out of any other crop. These chemicals cause much damage to the environment. That is why at Green Bean Kids we only use certifed organic cotton in our baby clothing collections. Our Organic cotton fabrics are certified by (CU) Control Union. Organic cotton is grown without the use of harmful pesticides, chemicals and fertilizers. Supporting organic cotton is a great way to promote more sustainable and healthy environmental practises and preserve our air and water. Where is the bamboo grown? There is only one facility that processes bamboo fibre and they hold the patent on the process. This facility produces all the bamboo viscose and is SA8000 certified which is the first universal standard in ethical sourcing.Bamboo does not require pesticides, fertilisers or genetically modified organisms (GMO's) to grow and is certified organic by The Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA). All bamboo fibre is currently Oeko-Tex 100 certified, this is an assurance that the fibre has been independently tested for 100 harmful chemicals and is completely safe and free of any harmful traces of chemicals. What certification for bamboo is there? The bamboo fabric we use in our baby clothing collection is Oeko-Tex 100 certified for dyeing and finishing. This means that an independent body has tested the fabric for any harmful chemicals and has been certified that the finished fibre has been found to contain no trace of chemicals that pose health problems and is a safe choice for your baby. Are you able to offer a gift wrap service?Certainly, we offer a gift wrap service.
