Our bamboo is so silky soft and carries Oeko-Tex 100 certification which means that the fibre has been tested for over 100 harmful chemicals, and rest assured is formaldehyde free. What is bamboo?
Bamboo rayon is a new natural based material made from the cellulose of the inner pith and leaves of bamboo. Recently classified as rayon from bamboo it is made from a reformed or regenerated cellulose. Rayon fibres utilise the cellulose of wood pulp from trees, cotton lint or bamboo. Tencel and modal are also known as rayon fibres because they are manufactured from natural based materials and are regenerated into a fabric.

This ensures that the bamboo canes have been grown without the use of pesticides or
fertilisers.
FSC certified.
The bamboo fibre has Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody for the production and sales of fibre claimed FSC pure. This means that the bamboo we use in our production is certified that is comes from sustainable bamboo plantations.
Oeko-Tex 100 Certified
Oeko -Tex 100 is an independent organisation that certifies that the bamboo fibre has been tested for over 100 prohibited or harmful substances and is safe for your baby. Oeko-Tex is the most comprehensive certification for bamboo from rayon. Our supplier also is a GOTS certified dye house. Only GOTS ( Global Organic Textile Standards) certified chemicals are used in the dyeing and finishing of rayon from bamboo. All dyes used are low impact, azo free dyes according to GOTS standards.
Founded to provide an objective and reliable product label for consumers and a uniform safety standard for the assessment of harmful substances in fabrics. Its aim is to ensure products are free of harmful substances.
The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 excludes harmful substances or limits their use. The following parameters form part of the Oeko-Tex list of criteria:
